Mount Takao

Started my hike at 6:30am to beat the crowd and the heat (but left home before 5am since it’s over an hour away by train). It was well worth the effort, though! – Tokyo, Japan

I went down Trail 1 which is the most popular trail on the mountain. It is paved all the way and there are shrines and places to eat on the trail. I hiked early to avoid heat and people so none of the shops were open yet (I started my descent at 9am) – Tokyo, Japan

Mount Takao

Hiked to the top of Mount Takao yesterday. There are several trails and these photos are from Trail 6 I took to go up. The stairs towards the end of the trail were pretty hard (383 steps). The mountain is 599m (1965ft) tall and I was able to see Mount Fuji from the top – Tokyo, Japan

River Mountains Trail part 2
