They are about the size of small mangos.
When I was growing up, they were only available in the wild and I’ve only heard of them from my mom who grew up in the country. Now they are available at grocery stores (but still rare)! The gooey part around the seeds is the main sweet/edible part. This was my first time eating them. To be honest, the taste is just ok but it’s different and pretty to look at! – Kawasaki, Japan
